Famed as
the premier kayaking destination in the Pacific Northwest, the San Juan
Islands offer an experience to enjoy abundant marine life, protected
waterways and beautiful scenery. Come explore the San Juan archipelago with
Crystal Seas and we will kayak this extensive inland waterway as we “look
back” at the landscape from a seabird’s point of view. The waters in the
San Juan Islands are challenging enough to feel a sense of accomplishment
yet plentiful enough to keep you exploring the vast array wildlife that
inhabit the waters known as the Salish Sea.
All of our
guided three hour and full day tours run on the picturesque west-side of San
Juan Island. We feel this is the prime kayaking destination on San Juan
Island for scenery, wildlife and overall kayaking experience. In addition,
the west-side of San Juan Island is the only area in the San Juan Islands
where you will have a decent chance of witnessing members of the resident J,
K and L pods of orca whales.
We will
pick you up in our courtesy van in the port town of Friday Harbor on San
Juan Island, accessible only by way of ferry and plane, and take you to the
picturesque west-side of San Juan Island where you will begin your kayak
adventure at sea.
